Kicking out Xenophobia!
07-06-2010
BAFANAKIDS is a proud partner of the “Kicking Out Xenophobia” campaign started by 18 year old Ephraim Ntlamo, a Zimbabwean refugee who ‘s dream it was to start a soccer team in South Africa, so that he could play soccer together with other refugees and on the other hand fight Xenophobia and prejudice people have against refugees. There will be 6 xenophobia awareness matches played in 6 different local areas where the xenophobia attacks were the worst. Aim is to get everyone together, play a match and watch a 2010 World Cup match together so everybody can get to know each other on a friendship basis. BAFANAKIDS is looking forward to the matches and we hope that this campaign will touch and inspire you like it touches and inspires us!
Everybody is welcome to come and support the Refugee6 and to stand strong against Xenophobia!

In 2010 South Africa becomes the first African host of the FIFA World Cup football. Ironically there where the most loyal supporters live - in the townships - the facilities are the worst. To many clubs decent kits and a training field are unaffordable luxuries. Bafanakids.org gives you the chance to make a lasting difference that doesn’t stop when the World Cup does.
