Another Bafanakids Victory

Another Bafanakids Victory  On 14 June 2010 Lucky Stars U13 (sponsored by My Wage), FC Ludidi (sponsored by Sawadee), Kenpark (sponsored by a group of individuals), Lucky Stars girls (sponsored by Doove Foundation) and Africa Brothers (sponsored by Dreamteam Rene) competed in the Fifa Street Soccer Tournament (FSST).

All teams did extremely well! In the quarter finals Lucky Stars, Kenpark, FC Ludidi and another team competed against eachother to see who will go through to the semi final and eventually winning the FSST.

At the end it was Lucky Stars U13 that won the tournament. This is another achievement for them as they are on the top of their league in Gugulethu and some of these boys even play for Ajax Cape Town junior team. These boys had good team work and skill, all you need to win a match.

We are so proud of every single team that participated as they all did well but at the end of the day you can only have 1 winner!

Sponsor your team

In 2010 South Africa becomes the first African host of the FIFA World Cup football. Ironically there where the most loyal supporters live - in the townships - the facilities are the worst. To many clubs decent kits and a training field are unaffordable luxuries. Bafanakids.org gives you the chance to make a lasting difference that doesn’t stop when the World Cup does.
